Bhitauli (Maharajganj), December 31. After a survey of 14 gram panchayats under PACS project, Dr GN Gupta posted at Harpur Mahant Primary Health Centre examined 150 patients afflicted with various ailments at the Yuva Chetna Kendra office located at Bhitauli Bazar town. After examination the patients were given medicines free.
It may be mentioned that the personnel associated with this organisation carried out survey in 14 gram panchayats under Ghughuli development block. During the survey it was revealed that residents of these villages were not paying attention to immunisation as a result of which they were suffering from various diseases. To sensitise people of all classes about health, Yuva Chetna Kendra is carrying out a survey of children in age group 0 to 5 years and taking their weight. Along with this, the organisation is identifying malnourished children and giving suggestions to their parents to ensure better health for the children. The organisation is administering free DTP, measles and tetanus vaccines.
The coordinator of Yuva Chetna Kendra Datatreya Gupta said that in a short time the organisation has done better work in 14 gram panchayats. He said with requisite support from people good work will be done in the fields of health and education and the residents will definitely become educated.
